Cowboy Dylan Does Equine Therapy!
Here's Dylan and his therapist on week two of Equine therapy! For now, the goal is to get him accustomed to the horse and to riding. Normally something new like this would freak him out and cause a meltdown, but you can see how calm and happy he is!
The white poles you see will eventually be used to do activities. He will hang buckets from them, and then drop like-colored or like-shaped objects inside. All of this while using core muscles to maintain balance!
When we got home, I did a couple hours of ABA with him and he was remarkably focused! I'm not totally sure how, but being on the horse is helping him!
